We Love to Have Fun...You?
I grew up in the era of clip earrings! Those "ear bobs" as my grandmother
used to call them. They are wonderful, retro and so back in style. But some
of us just can't bear the pain! So what to do with them?
SPAGHETTI STRAPS & SWIMSUITS I recently saw a daytime tv with a
stylist and her models for Spring & Summer fashions use them to clip right at
the base of spaghetti straps! What a wonderful idea to spice up that summer
tank, dress or evening bathing suit! (take them off before dipping in the pool
though!) Clip that sarong and spice it up rather than that big knot! (If you are
a bit craftier, make a button hole and use vintage cuff links too!
V-Necks and Gathered Shirts Clip an ear bob right at a V-neck or one of
the little summer shirts that are gathered either at each side or in the middle
to draw attention to...oh, I don't know...whatever needs drawing attention to!
Flip Flops & Sandals Recently gabbing with a friend who has an antique
store and she said she had a customer who came in and bought nearly every
pair of vintage clip earrings she had. "Why?", I asked. She clips them on her
thongs (flip flops, not the other, but...?) to dress up the summer shoes! Oh
My! How Fun!
Purses, Bags, Hats & Scarves Let your imagine go wild! Adorn the otherwise
plain bags, purses, clutches, scarves, hats...the uses are endless!
These earrings have such beautiful beads and I can't begin to tell you how
many compliments I have received since I started using them in some of the
various ways!
